Union Home Minister Amit Shah chairs a high-level security review meeting at his residence. Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Director of the Intelligence Bureau, Director General of the National Investigation Agency, and Delhi Police Commissioner are present in the meeting, reports ANI.

Preliminary probe into the blast near Delhi's Red Fort on Monday evening that left 12 dead and many injured has also suggested links to the alleged terror module uncovered in Faridabad.
Police on Tuesday said a team is camping at the Al Falah University, where the Kashmiri doctor lived for the past three-and-a-half years, and are questioning staff and doctors at the varsity here, a senior police office said.
Police on Tuesday took the mother of the man who was suspected to be driving the car that exploded near the Red Fort for a DNA test in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said here.
"We have taken the mother of the suspect to collect DNA samples in order to match with the parts found at the scene of the blast," an official said.
Dr Umar Nabi was allegedly driving the Hyundai i20 car that was used in the blast near the parking area of the Red Fort Metro Station on Monday, killing at least 12 people. He hails from Koil village in Pulwama, they said.
Hurriyat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Tuesday expressed grief over the loss of lives in the Delhi car blast.
"Deeply saddened by the tragic car blast in Delhi that has claimed precious lives and injured many," Mirwaiz said in a statement here.
The Hurriyat chairman extended condolences to bereaved families and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
Police in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday detained the father of the man suspected to be driving the car that exploded near the Red Fort for questioning, officials said.
Ghulam Nabi Bhat was picked up by the police from his residence at Koil in Pulwama, hours after his wife was taken for a DNA test, the officials said.
The police have rounded up several doctors who were working with blast suspect Umar Nabi in Faridabad, the officials said.
They said three other persons, who were linked to the sale and purchase of the car involved in the blast, have been detained for questioning.
A man from Gurugram was taken by police for questioning since the first owner of the car that was used in the blast near the Red Fort was their tenant between 2016 and 2020, the landlord's family claimed on Tuesday.
A joint team of Delhi and Gurugram police on Monday evening detained the Haryana-registered car's first owner, Mohd. Salman, from Gurugram.
Salman had sold his car to a person named Devendra in Delhi’s Okhla one and a half years ago, an officer had said. Later, the vehicle was sold to another person in Ambala, and it was resold to a man named Tariq in Pulwama.
The officer had informed that the police are tracing the people.

Hours after the bomb blast near Red Fort killing 12 people, the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) received five calls about "unclaimed" vehicles and bags, all of which later turned out to be false alarms, an official said on Tuesday.
According to DFS officials, the calls started pouring in soon after news of the explosion spread, reflecting heightened public anxiety across the city. (PTI)
Deposed Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina has strongly condemned the explosion in the national capital.
“The appalling terrorist attack in New Delhi is unacceptable under any circumstances,” Hasina said in a statement posted on Awami League’s social media.

The Left parties demanded a thorough probe into the explosion near the Red Fort, as they condemned the incident and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
The Politburo of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), in a statement, said the recovery of a huge quantity of explosives from Delhi's neighbouring area, which has been linked to the explosion near the Red Fort, indicates involvement of an organised network.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced a compensation package of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of those who lost their lives in the Delhi blasts. The CM added that permanently disabled individuals will be receiving Rs 5 lakh and those seriously injured will be provided Rs 2 lakh. Our government will take responsibility for the proper and quality treatment of the injured," said Rekha, while announcing the package in a post on X.
A call about the presence of "RDX" in a car in southeast Delhi's Bhogal area on Tuesday triggered panic in the area, police said.
However, it later turned out to be a false alarm.
The blast near the Red Fort that killed at least 12 people on Monday may have been caused due to panic and desperation after raids carried out by the security agencies across multiple locations in Delhi-NCR and Pulwama, J-K, to nab suspects believed to be part of a terror module, preliminary assessment by security agencies said.
Senior security sources also said the bomb was premature and not fully developed, thus limiting the impact. (PTI)
