On the day of Christmas, the Aam Aadmi Party came up with a unique way of showing all the schemes that they have introduced. The official X handle of AAP shared an AI generated video titled 'Delhi's own Santa delivering gifts year-round' showing the party's national convener Arvind Kejriwal dressed as Santa carrying a huge gift bag with him.
'Santa Kejriwal' can be seen distributing welfare schemes to people, including women and children.
With the background music describing him as 'jolly Kejriwal', the lyrics hints at the 'cheer' he brings to people.
The lyrics read: 'Jolly all Kejriwal he brings a cheer, he brings a cheer, with 2,100 for women every month this year and Medicare for elders. Free bus rides each day and night. Ho ho ho Santa Kejriwal is here, spreading joy for all far and near. Free electricity all day and night, Santa Kejriwal gifts are a delight."
The video begins with him walking with kids in front of 'Delhi gov school'. In the next clip Kejriwal can be seen handing over a gift labelled with Rs 2100 sticker to a woman.
AAP recently announced plan to provide a monthly honorarium of Rs 1,000 to eligible women in Delhi before the upcoming Assembly polls.
The Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojna of the AAP government was announced in the budget 2024-25.
Delhi government had announced 'Mahila Samman Yojana' to provide Rs 1,000 per month to all adult women. However, Kejriwal recently announced that the amount would be raised to Rs 2,100 if his party returned to power in the upcoming elections.
The Delhi elections are slated for February next year.
Next in the clip, the leader can be seen holding a gift with the label 'Sanjivini Yojana' which refers to free treatment for elderly if his party returns to power.
Under this, he said Delhi’s senior citizens will receive treatment in private or government hospitals at no cost as all expenses would be borne by the government without any income or socio-economic restrictions.
The video since posted has garnered over 140k views and flurry of comments.
