New Delhi: A man splashed some liquid on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal during his 'padyatra' in south Delhi on Saturday with the party accusing the BJP of not being able to stabilise the law and order situation in the national capital.

AAP asked, "If a former chief minister is not safe in the national capital, where will the common man go? Delhi is facing a complete breakdown of law and order under BJP's rule."

AAP's attack on BJP comes as Delhi Police is under the Ministry of Home Affairs ruled by BJP.

The incident took place in Malviya Nagar in the evening while he was conducting his 'padyatra'. The man was immediately overpowered by his security staff and handed over to police.

Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj posted on 'X', "The goon who attacked Kejriwal ji today is directly linked to the BJP."

AAP claimed this was the third such incident in the past one month. They said such incidents took place in Vikaspuri on October 25, Nangloi on November 27 and Malviya Nagar on November 30.

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi claimed on 'X', "Today in broad daylight, a BJP worker attacked Kejriwal-ji. The BJP is feeling very nervous about losing the Delhi elections for the third time. Delhi people will take revenge for such cheap acts. Last time they got eight seats, this time Delhi people will give zero seats to BJP."
