New Delhi: As AAP put the Congress on notice over its charges against Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Congress leaders on Thursday returned fire claiming that a “gang of corrupt leaders” are desperately trying to salvage their “shattered image” and “eroding support” among voters.

While Delhi Congress chief Devendra Yadav claimed that AAP’s credibility has hit a new low with their ‘White Paper on Black Deeds’ of the Kejriwal-led party, its former MP Sandeep Dikshit submitted a complaint against AAP's 'Mahila Samman Yojana', alleging that the party was committing a fraud on Delhiites.

The reactions came as AAP alleged that the Congress’ Delhi leaders were in collusion with BJP after senior Congress leader Ajay Maken called Kejriwal an “anti-national” with no ideology. He had also said Delhi’s woes and Congress’ weakening in the capital was due to them giving Kejriwal support in 2013.

As AAP demanded action against Maken within 24 hours or they will approach other I.N.D.I.A. parties to drop Congress from the alliance, Dikshit said, “AAP used to accuse Sharad Pawar, Lalu Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav about corruption but now they are with them only. AAP used to say that Congress has no base in Delhi then why are they so rattled?”

“Kejriwal has a habit of crying. They know that if they lose Delhi, they will have nothing left,” Dikshit, who has been fielded against Kejriwal from the New Delhi seat, claimed.

Yadav claimed that a “gang of corrupt leaders” like Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are desperately trying to salvage their “shattered image and eroding support” among the voters by targeting Congress.

He alleged that AAP's credibility has hit a new low after the Delhi Congress released a 12-point White Paper on its black deeds.

“Kejriwal has no control over Chief Minister Atishi and it became evident when two departments issued public notices to caution public that Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Scheme have no government approval and the AAP leaders were collecting personal details in the guise of registering their names for these schemes,” he added.

Dikshit alleged that AAP workers were collecting phone numbers and addresses of women by making them fill out forms for a scheme that does not exist. Two Delhi government departments on Wednesday had distanced themselves from 'Mahila Samman' and ‘Sanjeevani Scheme' announced by AAP ahead of elections.

On his complaint to the Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena, he said, “If they had said that they would give Rs 2,100 if they win the elections, then there was no issue. But they said that a scheme of Rs 1,000 is going on, and they will convert it to Rs 2,100. And they are making women fill forms for the scheme.”
