A disturbing experience in Delhi has raised serious concerns about the safety of women living alone, particularly when it comes to late-night deliveries.
In a now-viral Reddit post, the ordeal was narrated by a woman who had ordered ice cream from Blinkit. However, the delivery turned out to be far from ordinary, rather— it turned out to be scary.
The delivery man arrived at her doorstep, and her sister went to pick up the order. But something about the man made her uneasy.
"He scanned my sister entirely and his eyes were bloodshot and wide. She got scared and called me...I was equally horrified to face him. His eyes, idk how else to explain this but he seemed possessed. He didn’t speak or blink, just eyes wide open and red. He was looking at me as if he’s gonna hurt me," she explained.

The Delhi woman mentioned that both her sister and she were scared by his looks and those "bloodshot eyes," which the netizens hinted at the delivery agent being intoxicated. But there was an equal premise of him being overworked or tired.
However, the Reddit post went on to clarify the claim further.
"It was very scary and my woman instinct knows that he didn’t have good intentions. He had that scary aura," the post read.
"I called for my dad, saying ice cream aagya hai even though he was asleep to let the guy know we aren’t alone," the original poster added.
This comes on the heels of the Pune incident where a 22-year-old woman accused a courier delivery agent of raping her by forcefully entering into her residence.
Early reports claimed that he walked into her flat, sprayed some chemical on her face, and assaulted her. However, when police investigated the matter, they learned that there was no forced entry and two parties were actually friends.
