An Instagram user posted the clip on Instagram while calling it an "unsettling" experience during her night travel. She mentioned that the visuals were shot around 11 pm, when the ladies coach had considerable men seated inside.
She explained that she boarded the last metro and walked into the ladies coach, only to spot some men occupying the seats. At that hour, she felt unsafe.
"I took the last metro in Delhi and chose the women’s coach, thinking it would be the safer space," she wrote.
"But when I entered, there were men sitting inside. And honestly, it felt really unsettling. At that hour, all I wanted was to feel a little more secure... but that moment completely shook that sense of safety," she said further.
The footage firstly showed two seemingly harmless men seated on the seats, which were said to be inside the ladies coach. The clip further filmed more men travelling in the coach reserved for female passengers.
"Even after being told to leave, they came back," Negi said while raising safety concerns.
Netizens react
Shared on July 4, the video has gone viral on the social media platform and received more than 60,000 likes and several comments.
"If it's around 11 pm then maybe the metro is empty a lot, and if they still chose to sit in the first coach then it's wrong," one user reacted.
"Why there should be separate coaches for women. They are all strong independent," added another.
