The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested four Delhi-based businessmen in a money laundering investigation linked to an alleged bank loan fraud of Rs 605 crore, the agency said on Tuesday.
The case pertains to a probe against a company called Shree Bankey Behari Exports Ltd. (SBBEL) and its directors Amar Chand Gupta, Ram Lal Gupta and Raj Kumar Gupta and the nephew and employee of Amar Chand Gupta, Sanjay Kansal.
Ram Lal Gupta, Raj Kumar Gupta and Sanjay Kansal were taken into custody by the federal agency on August 18 while Amar Chand Gupta was arrested two days later on August 20.
All the four were sent to ED custody till August 25 by a local court, the ED said. (PTI)

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot on Tuesday said the government plans to have 200 women bus drivers with the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) as part of its effort to provide employment opportunities to them.
He also handed over appointment letters to the first batch of 11 women bus drivers who have completed their training and will be employed with the DTC. (PTI)
The Delhi Police on Tuesday registered two separate FIRs in connection with the scuffle that broke out at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) between a group of students and security staff a day before, officials said.
The university has said two security guards were beaten up mercilessly by the students and strict action will be taken against those who are found guilty of disrupting the academic environment.
Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) have, however, accused the university of carrying out the attack which took place when the students were staging a protest seeking the release of fellowship which they claimed to have not received in over a year. (PTI)

A Delhi court on Tuesday granted regular bail to Poonam Jain, wife of Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain, in connection with a money laundering case.
The Rouse Avenue Court in the city granted regular bail to Poonam Jain while the bail plea of other accused persons in the case -- Ankush and Vaibhav Jain -- will be heard on August 27. A detailed order is expected to be made available later in the day. (IANS)
