He also claimed that Dhankhar was “threatened” that he will have to face a no-confidence motion in case he does not resign within 9 PM on Monday.

Dhankhar had on Monday night made a surprise announcement about resigning as Vice President of India citing health concerns.

“He was forced to resign…This (resignation) is completely after pressure tactics by the Prime Minister and other Cabinet ministers. This is the way they do. Earlier we saw an Election Commissioner (Arun Goyal) resigning just before elections,” told reporters in Parliament House.
