Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Haldia in West Bengal on Sunday to address a BJP rally ahead of elections in the state. This is the Prime Minister's first rally in West Bengal.

"In Bengal, if you ask didi (Mamata Banerjee) about your right then she gets frustrated. She even gets annoyed if slogans of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' are raised," PM Modi said at the rally.

PM Modi also accused the TMC govt in Bengal of blocking the Centre's schemes while questioning if the Mamata government had completed any developmental works.

"In the first year of Mamata Government, it became clear that what Bengal had got was not 'parivartan' but revival of left and that too with interest. Revival of left meant revival of corruption, crime, violence, and attacks on democracy," he said.

PM Modi was earlier in poll-bound Assam where he addressed a gathering of mostly tea workers.
