The official Facebook page of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief M Karunanidhi now has over two lakh followers and steps are on to revamp websites of both the party and that of its chief ahead of 2016 Assembly polls.
“Head of the party Kalaignar Karunanidhi's Facebook page now has over two lakh followers,” a party headquarters press release here said.
Karunandihi's account “Kalaignar89” in social networking site Facebook was launched in 2012.
On his followers crossing the 2,00,000 mark, Karunanidhi, a prolific writer, hailed the party cadres for being the “veins” of DMK that makes it a “fort” and thanked them for their support.
