Nearly 50% candidates are yet to download admit cards for civil services preliminary exam scheduled for June 3, the UPSC said.

As nearly half of the candidates who have applied for the civil services preliminary examination have not downloaded admit cards so far, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday advised aspirants to do it as early as possible.

The exam is scheduled for June 3 and the UPSC fears that last-minute rush could land the candidates in trouble.

"More than 50% candidates have downloaded their e-admit cards from the commission’s website. Those candidates, who have not yet downloaded their e-admit card, are advised to do so urgently to avoid last minute rush," an official statement said.

"No candidate shall be allowed to enter into the examination venue after the closure of the entry. The candidates should also note that they shall not be allowed to appear at any other examination venue except the examination venue mentioned in the e-admit card," it added.
