Hyderabad: Amidst heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, the chief of Eastern Naval Command of the Indian Navy in Visakhapatnam had asked the fleet personnel to 'remain ready' and poised to meet any operational requirements.
ENC commander in chief , Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar interacted with the personnel of the Eastern Sword Sunrise Fleet and commended all personnel of the Sunrise Fleet for maintaining a high tempo of operations in a safe operating environment.
The Commander-in-Chief brought focus to the ongoing security situation, exhorting Fleet personnel to remain ready and poised to meet any operational requirements. He also exchanged views with the personnel on issues ranging from maritime consciousness, operational challenges, training, motivation, wellness and healthy living.
He further advised the personnel with regard to the need to keep continuous attention on the aspects of personal safety, cyber and information security and road safety awareness. He tasked the Fleet to stay focused, keep learning and strive for excellence in the professional domain, thereby manifesting as a Combat Ready - Credible - Cohesive - Future Ready force, capable of protecting India's maritime interests Anytime-Anywhere-Anyhow.
Eastern Fleet is part of Visakhapatnam headquartered Eastern Naval Command and secures Indian maritime border on the eastern side. The fleet contains destroyers, frigates, corvettes and submarines.
