In a development that has rattled the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, the Enforcement Directorate has attached properties of former Maharashtra home minister and senior NCP leader Anil Deshmukh.
A senior politician, Deshmukh (72), close to NCP supremo Sharad Pawar and general secretary Praful Patel, had to resign from the Uddhav Thackeray-led government.

According to a press statement, the Directorate of Enforcement has provisionally attached assets worth Rs 4.20 crore of Deshmukh and his family, held in name of his wife Aarti Deshmukh and company Premier Port Links Private Limited under PMLA.
The attached assets are in the form of one residential Flat valued at Rs 1.54 crore, located at Worli in Mumbai and 25 land parcels of book value Rs 2.67 crore, located at Dhutum Villages in Uran in Raigad district.
