On hearing his daughter’s screams, local people gathered. Fearing trouble, the miscreants fled. As blood was oozing out of his body, Ram Kripal’s daughter insisted he should visit the nearby hospital first.

Exam first

“I am okay. Don’t worry about me. I will first drop you at the examination centre and then get medical treatment. I don’t want this incident to ruin one year for you,” said Ram Kripal, as he sped towards the examination centre in a critical state.

Once the worried daughter, who had to appear for her English paper, entered the school campus, other guardians helped Ram Kripal reach a private nursing home where the doctors have declared him to be in a critical state.

“Once he is stable, we will record his statement. The incident seems to be a fallout of old enmity,” said Begusarai SP, Awakash Kumar.
