Shreekumar said the Commission had written to him in August to throw some light on the role of government officials subverting the system in the wake of a public interest litigation filed by noted danseuse Mallika Sarabhai in 2002 regarding Gujarat riots.
“It was in pursuance of this notice that I filed an affidavit today,” Shreekumar said.
The 10-page affidavit has been classified as secret by Shreekumar and is expected to contain some explosive information about the role of some senior police officials in subverting justice.
The affidavit also contains fifty-three pages of annexure.
