In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, which was followed by Operation Sindoor in which India launched precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan, a crackdown on spy networks working for the neighbouring country is underway.

As part of the crackdown, the Delhi Police on Thursday arrested a man from Rajasthan for allegedly aiding Pakistani Intelligence Operatives (PIOs) by supplying Indian mobile SIM cards for espionage activities.

As per an India Today report, what led the probe agencies to Kasim (34), a resident of Mewat in Rajasthan, was a YouTube video where he can be heard saying that he "felt like home" in Pakistan.

The video, posted by the YouTube channel 'Rehbar-e-Mewat', shows Kasim talking to a news anchor.

"Mr Kasim, welcome to Pakistan once again. How does it feel to be back in Pakistan?" the anchor is heard asking him.

"It feels like home. I get so much love and affection here that it brings me back so soon. I am back here in less than three months due to your people's love and affection," Kasim replied.

According to officials, Kasim had travelled to Pakistan twice -- first in August 2024 and again in March 2025 -- and stayed there for about 90 days.

During his visits, he is suspected to have met officials of the Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), a senior police officer said.

On Saturday, the police also arrested his elder brother Hasin (42) in connection with the espionage case.

"Hasin was arrested from the Nagar area in the Deeg district of Rajasthan as part of the probe. During interrogation, it was revealed that Hasin had visited Pakistan around 15 years ago to meet relatives and has allegedly been in contact with ISI officials for the last 4 to 5 years," an official said.

He said that in August 2024, Hasin sent a SIM card registered in his name to Pakistan through his brother Kasim. That SIM card was later found to be used by a Pakistani intelligence operative, the officer said.

It has also been alleged that he sent photographs of sensitive Indian Army establishments to Pakistani handlers and received money in return, he said.

The police said that Hasin not only facilitated the transfer of the SIM card but also provided OTPs to help activate WhatsApp accounts in Pakistan.

Investigations further revealed that Hasin played a key role in helping his brother Kasim, along with their brother-in-law and sister, secure Pakistani visas for a visit in August 2024, with the assistance of ISI operatives.
