A case has been registered against an unidentified person for making a fake Facebook account of a BJP MLA in the district, police said on Wednesday.
Umesh Malik, BJP MLA from Budhana constituency in the district, has yesterday filed a police complaint alleging that someone has made his fake Facebook account and posting messages from it, Station House Officer (SHO) of Civil Lines police station D K Tyagi said.
An FIR was registered and the case forwarded to the cyber cell for investigation, he added.
