Fire on Nanded-Manmad train

A fire was noticed in a general coach of Nanded-Manmad passenger train during the wee hours of Sunday while on run between Aurangabad and Daulatabad stations, (in Aurangabad District) in Parbhani-Manmad section in Nanded division of South Central Railway. 

The train was immediately stopped by the crew. The passengers were alerted and safely cleared out of the coach. The affected coach was detached and isolated from other coaches. 

The passengers in the affected coach were accommodated in the other coaches. Medical relief vans from Purna and Bhusawal have been rushed to the spot.

However, in the meanwhile, fire brigades from Aurangabad were rushed to the location and the fire was put out by 3:10 am. No casualty or injury to any of the passengers was reported in this incident.

Senior railway officials from Aurangabad immediately reached the spot to undertake relief operations.
