The accused belonging to the Devipujak community were arrested during a search operation conducted jointly by the Surendranagar local crime branch and the district special operations group , they said.
According to police, besides valuable items amounting to crores of rupees, Rs 5 lakh in cash and a diamond worth Rs 50 lakh have also been recovered from the accused.
Following their interrogation, police have also recovered a bag of silver ornaments stolen from the palace. Earlier, those close to the erstwhile royal family of Jamnagar had downplayed the severity of the theft.
