The incident happened on board Air India’s flight from Sharjah to Lucknow on Saturday morning. The pilot and the cabin crew member of IC-884 Sharjah-Lucknow-Delhi flight have been derostered. It was not known on what issue the two fought.
The incident took place around 4.30 am when the flight was over Pakistan, an AI official said adding that the airliner with 106 passengers and seven crew members had left for Lucknow at 12.35 am Sharjah time. The flight reached Lucknow at 6 am where the matter was reported. An investigation is on.
“After the matter was reported and both the pilot and the cabin crew member made claims and counter-claims, the management ordered an inquiry, which is now in progress," an AI spokesperson said. “Pending result of the inquiry, both the pilot and the cabin crew member have been derostered,” he added.
