Known for his devastating swing bowling, former Team India pacer Praveen Kumar would now try to ‘swing’ the people in favour of the Samajwadi Party (SP) in the poll-bound Uttar Pradesh.

Praveen, who played for the country in 68 one day international matches besides a few tests and T-20 matches, on Sunday joined the SP in the presence of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

The former pacer, who last played for India around five years back, said that he had been “greatly moved” by work done by Akhilesh for different sections of the society and had  therefore decided to join the SP.
