A ten-member I-T squad swooped down on the office premise of the GMR Group located in central Delhi and rummaged through documents of the company pertaining to its IPL activities, according to sources.

“The I-T officials of the Delhi circle conducted the survey operation after receiving tip offs from the Directorate General of Investigations, Mumbai,” sources added.
The GMR Group, which is one of the fastest growing infrastructure organisations in the country with interests in airports, energy, highways and urban infrastructure, won the bidding for the Delhi IPL in 2008 by making a payment of $84 million and floated the Delhi Daredevils cricket team.
When asked whether IT officials had come across any incriminating evidence during the raid, the sources refused to make any comment.
