The Modi government has convened an all-party meeting on Friday to discuss Jat reservation issue, with the agitating OBC community leaders demanding their pound of flesh from Haryana government.

The Jat community has been demanding reservation in government jobs and educational institutions under the Other Backward Classes category. Though the Manohar Lal Khattar government had announced quota for Economically Backward Classes in the state from 10 to 20 per cent, the Jats and Khap leaders are not very pleased about the move.

As another sop for the community, the state government also announced to enhance the annual income ceiling from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 6 lakh.
