The Isro is all set to launch its heaviest GSLV-Mk III rocket carrying a high-tech communication satellite on Monday from the country’s space port in Sriharikota.

The twenty five-and-half-hour countdown process started on Sunday. A senior Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) official told DH that the Mission Readiness Review (MRR) Committee and the Launch Authorisation Board (LAB) cleared the countdown of GSLV-Mk III D1/GSAT-19 mission that began at 3:58 pm.

GSLV-Mk III is capable of launching four-ton class of satellites to Geosynchronous Transfer Orbits (GTO).
The GSLV rocket is the first developmental flight, carrying a 3,136 kg GSAT-19 satellite to a GTO.
