Avocado is a healthy fruit and the staple element in breakfasts for many. You can eat it without pairing it with anything, with salt and pepper or masala seasonings, with eggs or can be a healthy addition to a tossed salad.

Although avocados are considered to be on the pricey side, an avocado toast sold in Gujarat's Surat with special cheese has become the most expensive avocado toast in India, as posted by a food blogger on Instagram.

Blogger named Surti Mayurkumar Vasantlal, with the username 'foodie_addicted_' recently shared a video on his Instagram showing a chef prepare an avocado toast in Surat that costs Rs 13,000.

The caption of the video read, "Tag to your Richest Friends !!"

"Most expensive avocado toast in India in just 13000 Rs/- @kallakar_00 cheese exports from only one donkey pull cheese company at Serbia."

The video starts off with the chef preparing the toast by adding some olive oil, seasoning, lemon juice and chopped avocados.

However, the highlight of the toast is not avocado but the imported cheese.

The chef using the toast, along with a thick layer of the cheese, as the base, generously heaps on some avocado mash before finally topping the expensive snack with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

The cheese used by the chef is "pule cheese" that is imported from Serbia and is produced exclusively in Zasavica Nature Reserve. The chef claimed that it takes 25 litres of milk to make 1 kg of the special cheese.

Pule cheese is made up of milk from 60 per cent and 40 per cent goat's milk.

The video, since it was posted, has gathered over 600k views and a flurry of comments. "India — this is how we make healthy meal into unhealthy meal," one netizen remarked.

"Is this a joke?" read another comment.

Another Instagram user wrote, "I make so much better at home that too under 150."

"13,000 is too much price compared to ingredients, and he can add some tahini sauce to make it tasty," commented a fourth.

"They don't even sell avocado toast in foreign countries at this price," said a fifth person, commenting on the viral post.
