The Trinamool Congress rally on Thursday at Brigade Parade Ground, in which Mamata Banerjee will kick-off the campaign for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, will be a high-tech affair with giant screens beaming the chief minister’s speech to various corners of the city and police using drones to manage the crowd.
Party sources said more than 100 giant LED screens are being installed in different parts of the city so that live proceedings of the rally can be shown to those unable to be a part of it. The screens will take the rally images even to the far-flung areas.
With an astounding 10 lakh expected at the rally, the party is also setting up control centres at Howrah and Sealdah stations to guide supporters coming in from different parts of the state.
