The agitators attacked shops and establishments in business areas like Punjagutta and Ameerpet. The mob attacked outlets of Big Bazaar at some places, police said. The city police had to resort to batoncharge to bring the situation under control, they said.

Two buses belonging to APSRTC were also set afire by the agitators at Ameerpet. Telengana supporters squatted on the road at NIMS hospital, where TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao who was on fast-unto-death is undergoing treatment.

The situation turned ugly when rumours spread that TRS chief's health condition became critical. However the doctors at the NIMS clarified that his condition is stable. The TRS, meanwhile, called for a two-day bandh in the city. The city police has issued prohibitory orders.
