An Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot flying a fighter Jaguar aircraft jettisoned the fuel tanks of the aircraft after a bird hit it mid-air shortly after take-off from the Ambala air force base Thursday morning.

The aircraft lost its engine in the bird strike. The pilot, however, managed to safely land the aircraft back to the airbase after the accident in air. No one was injured. More details are awaited.
