Kerala | The Kerala government has announced a nine-day complete lockdown in the state from 6 am on May 8 till May 16.
Karnataka | Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa announced lockdown-like restrictions with more stringent curbs from 6 am of May 10 to 6 am of May 24. There was already a curfew in place in the state from April 27, which was to end on May 12.
Tamil Nadu | A total lockdown will be enforced in the state from 4 am on May 10 to 4 am on May 24 to 'further intensify the efforts to curb the spread of the disease'.
Maharashtra | The state government has extended the Break-the-Chain lockdown-type restrictions till May 15. The Covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions came up for discussions at the weekly Cabinet meeting.
Bihar | An 11-day complete lockdown has been imposed in Bihar till May 15. Police personnel had begun patrolling the streets since early in the morning, anticipating heavy rush and overcrowding between 7 am and 11 am, the four-hour period during which shops selling vegetables, meat, fish, poultry, and grocery items have been allowed to do business.
Delhi | Amid Covid-19 cases showing no signs of declining, the ongoing lockdown in the national capital has been extended till May 10.
Rajasthan | The state government has imposed a lockdown from May 10 to 24 under which marriage functions, intra-state movement and MGNREGA works have been suspended.
Goa | Goa is currently under stringent Covid-19-related curbs, which include closure of non-essential shops. The state was under lockdown for four days last week. CM Pramod Sawant has hinted at a lockdown and said a final decision on the matter would be taken in the next 2 to 3 days.
