Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar praised the RSS after realising how the outfit managed to overcome the fake narrative spread by the opposition in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. The opposition had claimed BJP wanted to win 400 seats to change the Constitution and end reservations, a narrative which BJP leaders later claimed hit the party hard.
AAP on Friday alleged that the BJP is buying votes ahead of the Delhi assembly elections, claiming that the saffron party's Delhi leaders have embezzled funds meant for "buying votes with money".
Addressing a press conference, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh alleged that the BJP has allocated Rs 10,000 per voter to its leaders for buying votes but only a fraction of the money reached the intended recipients.
"Instead of distributing the full amount, BJP leaders allegedly handed out only Rs 1,000 or Rs 1,100 to voters, pocketing the remaining Rs 9,000 for themselves," Singh said.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday said authorities are in the know about the place where the weapons of six Maoists, who have surrendered, are kept, and that they will be brought following due process.
He also defended the Maoists surrendering before the government, which has come under criticism from the opposition BJP, stating that the intention of the administration is to end Naxalism and the people involved in such activities should come to the mainstream giving up arms.
"His statement is very shameful and irresponsible. This is the same Arvind Kejriwal who left all the people of Purvanchal to Anand Vihar station during COVID... You (Arvind Kejriwal) will call Biharis and Purvanchalis fake voters but will not say anything about Rohingyas..."
On Maharashtra minister Nitesh Ranes's remark 'EVM means, Every Vote against Mullah', Congress MP Shashi Tharoor says "This kind of thing is quite shocking. In our country, we really have to understand the basic lesson of the freedom struggle, which is that when one set of people said that religion is the of their nationhood and they went away and created Pakistan, Mahatma Gandhi onwards, our leader said we have fought for the freedom of everybody and we will create a country for everybody, we will write a constitution for everybody, and everybody will live here with equal rights. I must say that people picking on any one community, whether it's against Muslims, Hindus, Christians, or any caste, that is all wrong. We are all equal individual citizens of India, and that is the only basis on which our country can progress..."
Union Home Minister Amit Shah says "In the last 10 years, the fight against drugs has become very strong under the leadership of PM Modi. If we look at the figures, we come to know that we are very close to success in the fight and moving in the right direction. From 2004 to 2014, about 3 lakh 63 thousand kg of drugs were seized. There is no count of the number of tablets, there has been such an increase, but against these 3 lakh 63 thousand kg, we have seized 24 lakh kg within 10 years. This is a 7-fold increase. This is a very big achievement and our efforts are getting a good response from the public, the courts and the entire ecosystem. If we talk about the value, the value of the disposed dresses was Rs 8,150 crores in 2004-14 and now it has become Rs 56,851 crores in 2014-24, that is 8 times..."
"Babarpur Vidhan Sabha was considered the most backward constituency in all 70 seats of Delhi. Here, the politics was based on religion and not on work. For 25 years, no work was done in Babarpur Vidhan Sabha. When I became the MLA here, I went to all wards of this constituency and we found that a lot of work was pending. We started taking up all the work one by one and today, we have done so much work in this constituency which was pending since independence
BJP MP Anurag Thakur says, "... If their (AAP) policies were so good then why were they taken aback?... Today AAP has no answer to Delhi's broken roads, dirty water in homes, rising electricity bills, mountains of garbage and pollution... Today the people of Delhi want to be free from 'AAP-da'."

The Uttarakhand BJP on Saturday said it has expelled six rebel leaders who entered the fray for the forthcoming urban local body polls in the state as independents against the party's official nominees.
The expulsion orders were issued on Friday.
The six rebel leaders, four in Uttarkashi and two in Rudraprayag, have been expelled from the party for six years for anti-party activities on the recommendation of the Uttarakhand BJP president Mahendra Bhatt, said state BJP media incharge Manveer Chauhan.
BJP National Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi accused two AAP MLAs - Mohinder Goyal and Jai Bhagwan Upkar-- of being involved in making fake Aadhar cards for Bangladeshi infiltrators.
"...Investigation into fake votes in Delhi has revealed that votes of Bangladeshi infiltrators are being made by making fake Aadhar cards and signatures of two AAP MLAs - Mohinder Goyal and Jai Bhagwan Upkar have been found in this conspiracy... AAP is taking support of anti-national forces... What is the secret of Arvind Kejriwal's love for anti-national forces?," he said.
Kejriwal said that Ramesh Bidhuri is likely to be BJP's CM face. He also challenged Bidhuri, who made headlines for his controversial remarks against Delhi CM Atishi for an open debate for the public to see who is a more suitable candidate.
The AAP convenor has alleged that an application has been given to create 33 new votes at the address of BJP candidate Parvesh Verma.
"If this has happened with the will of the BJP candidate, then Parvesh Verma should be immediately disqualified from contesting elections...," the letter read.
