Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday lambasted Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for his `silence' on Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari's alleged insult to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the border dispute with neighbouring Karnataka. Addressing a rally at Chikhli in Buldhana district, the former chief minister claimed that projects headed for Maharashtra were diverted to Gujarat due to the Assembly elections in that state. ''I fear that Karnataka is going to the polls next year and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has staked claim to Akkalkot and Solapur (in Maharashtra). 'Drunk on power': Owaisi slams Amit Shah's Gujarat riots remark

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday slammed Union Home Minister Amit Shah for stating that BJP taught a lesson to rioters in Gujarat in 2002 and remarked that he is drunk on power.

The Hyderabad MP took to Twitter to hit back at Amit Shah. "Drunk high on power, India's home minister said we taught a lesson in 2002," tweeted Owaisi.

The AIMIM leader reminder Shah that power is not permanent. "After coming to power, some people forget that power does not always remain with someone," wrote Owaisi, who is currently campaigning for All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) candidates in Gujarat Assembly elections.

Congress' Karnataka state unit in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala has alleged that the BJP-led Union government is involved in the voters' ID scam.

"The Central government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is directly involved in stealing data from voters. The funds have been transferred from the bank account of a company run by the Central government to many persons, who hail from the place where Ravikumar of Chilume Institute, the main accused in the scam," Surjewala said.

MCD Polls: Nadda launches scathing attack on AAP

K'taka AAP unit to celebrate party's Foundation Day on Nov 26

The Karnataka unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will organise various programmes to celebrate the party's foundation day across the state on Saturday, a party leader said on Friday.

The AAP was founded on November 26, 2012.

Also, on November 26, 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India was adopted to the Constitution, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950.

In Bengaluru, AAP volunteers from the Shivaji Nagar Assembly constituency would be doing an early morning "greeting walkers" event at Cubbon Park.
