Mock poll for the urban body elections begun in Raipur on Tuesday. Voting in Mayor and Councillor elections for 10 municipal corporations will begin at 8 am today. The counting of votes is on February 15.

Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will meet Punjab MLAs in Delhi today. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Punjab MLAs who were campaigning in different areas for the Delhi elections will also be present in the meeting.
Speaking to PTI, BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal said, "Arvind Kejriwal and AAP did fraud, deceit against people of Delhi for 10 years. As a result, people punished them. The same situation is there in Punjab. Now that AAP has finished in Delhi, the same will happen in Punjab."
Speaking to ANI on the Delhi polls and the future of I.N.D.I.A. bloc, BJP leader Prakash Reddy said, "After the Delhi elections, the political circles are analysing that there won't be any INDI alliance for any other elections in Indian politics... After the Parliament elections, INDI bloc could not contest together in J&K, Haryana, Maharashtra, and now in Delhi... The existence of INDI bloc is in a dark phase."
"Even Mamata Banerjee announced that she would contest West Bengal elections without any alliance. This indicated that the INDI bloc has broken... Because of Congress, all parties are deciding to contest alone, especially regional parties," he added.
Speaking to PTI on the upcoming meeting, Punjab AAP MLA Harpinder Singh Happy said, "Arvind Kejriwal, Sandeep Pathak, Bhagwant Mann would be knowing about the meeting, this is a normal meeting, if there is something special, they would be knowing. I urge you to not take the statements seriously. All AAP MLAs are firmly put like a stone. Lose or win happens. Our work is to take the party forward. Meetings give fruitful results."
Speaking to ANI, on the 'Sheesh Mahal' issue, BJP leader Vijender Gupta said, "I have demanded that the properties merged in the Sheesh Mahal should be disintegrated. 10 properties for the officials of the Delhi government were merged... Kejriwal turned it into a property of 50,000 gajj from 10,000 gajj. We have demanded that LG disintegrate these properties..."
On today's AAP meeting, he said, "Kejriwal is doing a meeting but it is a sinking ship. They are trying to keep their people together...but it will not last..."
Speaking to PTI on the rumours of growing dissent within AAP Punjab, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said, "There is Aam Aadmi Party's government is Punjab and party's high command - Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia are in Delhi. What is wrong if the party's high command has called Punjab leaders to Delhi to discuss things after Delhi election results... it is that party's internal issue. Punjab is an important border state..."
On the growing rumours of I.N.D.I.A. bloc breaking up, Congress MP Kapil Sibal told PTI, "It is an important question, they should have asked Arvind Kejriwal when they fielded their candidates in Haryana, Goa, Gujarat, and other places. It should have been asked. Congress always tries to get everyone on board with a consensus. Sometimes problem happens. You can see how many seats were given to Congress. RJD said that because of Congress, they could not come to power. Everyone will have to decide how they will approach the elections. BJP's advantage is that they have a single command, they get benefit. In UP, Congress fought election with Samajwadi Party, it helped, the same happened in Tamil Nadu. It needs to be talked among themselves. Sharad Pawar said that it is a national alliance. So there is a confusion, which needs to be sorted out."
On Punjab MLAs meeting Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi, BJP MP Jagannath Sarkar told ANI, "Kejriwal is now scared after he lost. He fears this will repeat in Punjab as well. This is why he is calling a meeting to try and save himself. He will not be able to save himself because he has no ideology... AAP will soon be over..."
Reacting to the Delhi election fallout, BJP MP Yogender Chandolia told ANI, "... Arvind Kejriwal and Congress are two sides of the same coin... They are opportunists. Whenever they had the chance, they came together and fought elections together and today they are levelling allegations against each other... Congress got a huge 'zero' in the last 6 elections in Delhi. It is finished in Delhi..."
Reacting to Mamata Banerjee's decision to contest West Bengal elections alone, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut told ANI, "Mamata Banerjee has always fought independently- be it Lok Sabha or Vidhan Sabha. Congress is a big part of the INDIA alliance and she should always continue to have dialogue with Congress."
On AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal meeting Punjab CM and MLAs, party MP Malvinder Singh Kang told ANI, "... The Punjab Government is running very well under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann... Arvind Kejriwal is our national convenor and such meetings are held at regular intervals... The meeting is held to discuss the Delhi elections and to prepare the further strategy..."
On reports of AAP MLAs in touch with BJP and Congress, Congress MP Pramod Tiwari told ANI, "BJP has a history of horse-trading and breaking parties- we have seen this in Maharashtra also. They will try to do this in Punjab as well. As far as Congress is concerned, we do no believe in breaking parties. Our party's state leadership is monitoring the situation over there."

On the issue of public outrage over the crass comment by Ranveer Allahbadia, Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi told PTI, "The way he made the comment, the language that was used, it was pervasive and offensive, it is beyond the realms of the society. If these content creators don't self regulate, they force the state to intervene. FIRs have been registered."
"It was done deliberately, it was to make the content viral, and make money out of it. They will have to pay for it, because in a civilised society, it would make these talks normal, speaking about parents normal, talking physical intimacy normal. I find it perverse," she added
"I will raise in standing committee since I am a member. The Chairman of Rajya Sabha has been kind enough to allow me to raise this in zero hour today. It is not only about this content, there are several content creators who have been thriving on these platforms, and getting away with accountability," she said
Speaking to PTI, Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande said, "“Is this our country where youngsters have such kind of thinking? There is no censorship on such shows. This should come under some laws. We make films with so much hardwork and have censorship on them but not on private shows, stand-ups.”
On PM Modi's visit to the United States, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh told ANI, "...Will the Prime Minister have the courage to tell US President Trump that the way hundreds of Indians have been sent back in chains, handcuffed in a military aircraft, this is inhuman and unacceptable from a friendly country...Will PM Modi stand up to his friend Donald Trump instead of hugging him...We are allowing the Americans to send these migrants back handcuffed and chained in a military aircraft. This has never happened before."
After the meeting with AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan told ANI, "We will make Punjab a national model for governance and development. We had deliberations and planning for that... On our loss in Delhi, we all were of the opinion that all institutions were misused by the BJP. They have looted democracy... The people of Delhi have given us a duty as opposition. they haven't completely neglected us..."
After meeting AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann told reporters, "... Arvind Kejriwal thanked the MLAs for their work in the Delhi elections... Punjab government is working for the welfare of the people... Even today, the people of Delhi say that they have not seen such View ~ work in the last 75 years as the AAP has done in the last 10 years... We will use Delhi's experience in Punjab... We will work together. Our party is known for its work... In today's meeting, it was decided that in the coming two years, we will make Punjab a model that the whole nation will look up to... Punjab has always been forefront in all the fights..."
On the meeting of Punjab MLAs and ministers with Arvind Kejriwal, AAP MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer told ANI, "Everything is fine. We had meetings with our MLAs and ministers earlier as well. This is a routine process. Every party calls their leaders and holds such meetings...I can give you in writing that the day Congress will make it clear that Pratap Singh Bajwa will not be the CM candidate, that day itself he is going to join BJP just like his brother..."
On Mamata Banerjee's TMC to contest West Bengal assembly elections independently, BJP leader Tarun Chugh told reporters, "... The 'Yuvraj' and 'Yuvrani' are a liability for everyone, the I.N.D.I. Alliance and the country... Congress does not have a vision or a leadership. Congress is the biggest liability today... The people of the country are dismissing dynastic politics..."
BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul told ANI, "... Now TMC is not all India but local... Mamata Banerjee's cup of sins is full. You (Mamata Banerjee) wait for 1 year, and the people of Bengal will answer you... Just like the people of Delhi have answered, the people of Bengal will give a befitting reply to Mamata Banerjee in 2026 ..."
BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh slammed the Congress for the Delhi poll defeat and said, "...Rahul Gandhi is facing continuous defeat. I had hoped that the vote percentage (of Congress) would increase in the Delhi elections but it did not happen... Rahul Gandhi's advisors follow the wrong ideology..."
Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal on Tuesday stressed the need for the I.N.D.I.A. bloc parties to sit together to decide on how they will contest elections going forward, and remove "confusion".
