"Today, the February 10th, a no-confidence motion was being moved by the Congress in the Manipur Vidhan Sabha. This is being under consideration for quite some time, finally we were to move, the former Manipur CM saw the writing on the wall, he didn't have the support of his own MLAs, so he submitted the resignation, it has taken 20 months. It is a belated step, however it is not end of the story, the man responsible for the mess in Manipur is the Union Home Minister, the former Manipur CM was only the puppet. The PM had outsourced the entire Manipur issue to Home Minister. It's the Home Minister who should resign... The PM who is going abroad, has not visited the state for 20 months. Our demand is that the HM should resign and the PM must go to Manipur, understand the situation, and give a signal, he cares."
