On the Bengaluru stampede, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi says, "They (Karnataka govt) have behaved most irresponsibly. Up to 3:35 PM, three deaths were announced. In spite of that, the celebration was going on even in front of the Vidhana Soudha.
Police have categorically denied it. They said we cannot provide security, and it is risky. The people and the court will fix the responsibility..."

On Bengaluru incident, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah says, "The police department did not give comprehensive information about the police security arrangements at the venue. It was not a government event at Chinnaswamy Stadium and I was not even invited for it. BJP and JDS are making politically motivated statements. Though the injured were admitted to the hospital at 3.50 pm, I got information at 5.45 pm that there was a stampede near the stadium and people died. The stampede should not have happened. It is very sad."
