This came after Assam CM's accusations that the Congress MP's wife has links with the ISI. Meanwhile, the BJP meeting to decide its CM that was scheduled for today got postponed leading to Atishi's jibe claiming that the saffron party does not have any CM candidate. Responding to her remarks, BJP criticised Atishi for making "irresponsible statements" despite holding the acting chief minister's position, alleging that she has repeatedly undermined the dignity of the office. The BJP has announced it would protest against the Himachal Pradesh government's proposal to shift Dr Y S Parmar Medical College from the Nahan town to the Kashiwala village, nearly three km away.

Several social organisations have also expressed concern over the proposal. Nearly half a dozen organisations, including Citizens Council, Navbharat Yuva Sangh and organisations of retired persons have objected to shifting of the Nahan Medical College from the Nahan town.

Under the Ladki Bahin scheme, women in the 21-65 age group with an annual family income of less than Rs 2.5 lakh get Rs 1,500 per month as aid. The scheme is widely credited to have contributed to the BJP-led Mahayuti’s big win in the state assembly polls in November 2024.

Raj Niwas officials said that the work on cleaning the Yamuna has begun with trash skimmers, weed harvesters and a dredger.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the BJP's victory celebration at party headquarters on February 8 promised to make every effort for pollution-free Yamuna.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Saturday met the chief secretary and additional chief secretary (irrigation and flood control) and directed them for taking up Yamuna cleaning work, the officials said.
