India has requested additional S-400 missiles from Russia, news agency Sputnik India reported on Tuesday.
The S-400 missile launchers got prominence during the recent Operation Sindoor and also was prominently on full display when PM Modi earlier today spoke from the Adampur base, which Pakistan claimed to have destroyed along with S-400 missile launchers.
India had rubbished the claims and TV cameras following Modi corroborated that.
Sources told Sputnik India that Russia will fulfill India's request soon.
A day after India's armed forces carried out Operation Sindoor, Pakistan had attempted to target India's military installations using drones and missiles in 15 cities in the northern and western sectors.
However, the Indian armed forces were able to neutralise this threat using their Russian-made S-400 missile defence system.
India had acquired five units of S-440 Triumf missile defence system from Russia for a steep price of $5 billion. The deal was signed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018.
