Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Sunday alleged that his Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) was not given a fair deal by the BJP-led NDA in the Lok Sabha polls last year.
AAP's Delhi president Saurabh Bharadwaj on Sunday accused the BJP-led Delhi government of showing "utter disregard" for the legacy of Dr BR Ambedkar and failing to deliver on key promises made to Dalit students.
Bharadwaj alleged the BJP government had removed portraits of Ambedkar from prominent spots in government offices -- a practice that was institutionalised during the AAP government under former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, an official statement of AAP said.

Actor-turned-politician and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam president Vijay has challenged in the Supreme Court the constitutional validity of the Waqf legislation.
A bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna will hear on April 16 more than a dozen petitions, including one filed by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi, challenging the constitutional validity of the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025.

VCK MP Ravikumar on Supreme Court's verdict on Governor's powers says, "The Supreme Court has delivered a historic verdict in the case filed by the Tamil Nadu government against the Tamil Nadu Governor.
The Supreme Court has given legal approval and published in the government gazette the 10 bills that were kept pending by the Governor. This has never happened in the history of independent India; it is happening for the first time.
After the verdict, the Tamil Nadu Governor has been severely criticised, stating that he acted illegally and in a way that would paralyse the government elected by the people, and that this is a way to destroy representative democracy. The verdict stated that the Governor should have come forward and resigned, but he did not."
On TVK party president and actor Vijay files plea in Supreme Court challenging the Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025, DMK spokesperson Saravanan Annadurai says, "Any opposition to the Waqf Amendment is welcome. This sends a message to the Union government that such acts that trample upon the rights of minorities are not welcome. TVK is taking the footsteps of DMK and hope they will give a tough opposition... If Vijay wants to stand as tall as our CM, he has to meet people and stop giving random statements on twitter..."
On BJP and AIADMK enter into an alliance, he says, "Is there any buzz about this alliance? We don't want the BJP to have a foothold in Tamil Nadu. Everyone is aware that this alliance is made because all the ex-AIADMK are scared of the ED... There are cases of crores of scams against them... This is an alliance born out of blackmail..."
PM Modi says, "There are lakhs of hectares of land in the name of Waqf. If benefits from Waqf properties had been given to the needy, it would have benefitted them. But on land mafia benefitted from these properties ...The loot of the poor will stop with this amended Waqf law. Under the new Waqf law, land or property belonging to any Adivasi cannot be touched by the Waqf Board...Poor Muslims and Pasmanda Muslims will get their rights. This is real social justice."
On violence in Murshidabad, West Bengal Congress President Subhankar Sarkar says, "BJP themselves want violence, otherwise why would have they brought this 'black law' (Waqf Amendment Act) so early. Are they scared that their govt will fall soon?... They always do Hindu-Muslims..."
On Waqf Amendment Act 2025, J&K CM Omar Abdullah says, “My party has already filed a petition in front of the Supreme Court. Now leave it to the judges. We are amongst a number of organisations that have approached the Supreme Court to look at this. Let them take a look at it. We believe that this piece of legislation has targeted one particular religion. We are supposed to be a secular state. All religions are supposed to be treated equally. We believe that we have a right to be treated equally. We want the Supreme Court to adjudicate on this. Now we will wait...”
State Minister Priyank Kharge said, “Muslims are the minorities as per constitution. They don’t understand the constitution. Let them read the constituent assembly debate where very categorically parliament had declared that they are minorities.
"So the problem with CT Ravi and BJP is that they neither read nor understand the constitution.
"Today is BR Ambedkar’s Jayanti, Narendra Modi should declare that like the government of Karnataka, we will also allocate budget based on the population of SC/ST. Will they do it?”
On his decision to quit NDA, Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) chief Pashupati Kumar Paras says, "I was with the NDA since 2014 till date. We were loyal allies of the NDA. You must have seen that when Lok Sabha elections were held, people of NDA did injustice to our party as it is a Dalit party.
"Still, in the national interest, our party decided to support NDA in the elections. 6-8 months later, whenever NDA meeting was held in Bihar, BJP state chief and JD(U) state chief issued statements that they are '5 pandavas' in Bihar, they didn't mention our party's name anywhere. So, we were compelled.
"We are going amid the people and have started a membership drive. We are preparing for all 243 seats. If Mahagathbandhan gives us proper respect at the right time, we will definitely think of politics in future."
On "Shariat first, then Constitution" reported statement of Jharkhand Minister Hafizul Hassan, state BJP president and LoP Babulal Marandi says, "...It has become clear that Congress and JMM make a mockery of it when they roam around with a copy of the Constitution. The reality has come out through the words of Hafizul Hassan.
"So the BJP demands that Congress and JMM should give a clarification and drop such a minister from the cabinet. BJP will agitate in Jharkhand over this so that people of this state and country should know that people from Congress and JMM do not believe in the Constitution and want to work as per Shariat.
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee says, "We live once and die once. So, why is there a riot? Every caste and religion has the right to protest, but do not take law into your hands...Some people are trying to mislead you, do not pay attention to them."
On DMK and Congress criticising Tamil Nadu Governor for reportedly asking college students to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’, State BJP vice president Narayanan Thirupathy says, "Even in our Constitution, there is Ram. These people don't know what the Constitution has and what is written in the Constitution. The Constitution has Ram and Krishna...It is funny that these people are talking like this. ‘Jai Shri Ram’ is our national chanting. So, they should understand all these things. They are just blabbering."
