Over a dozen Bills were passed in both Houses and Budget got cleared without trouble, while the Parliament recorded a nearly 120 per cent productivity even as no discussions were held on free and fair elections, including on duplicate voter ID cards, and delimitation despite repeated demands by the Opposition.
State Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, who presented the 18-page interim report on Friday, made this observation. A total of 464 maternal deaths were audited during this period of nine months, with Bengaluru Urban (71), Ballari (38), Dharwad (35), Kalaburagi (33), and Belagavi (31), recording the highest. This total also includes the deaths of 18 women from other states.

I expect the government to follow the law regarding the use of Marathi language in all establishments across Maharashtra."

On Congress MP Mohammad Jawed and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi moving the Supreme Court challenging the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2025, BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal says, ".A JPC was formed on the opposition’s demand. The JPC had extensive discussions, and its report was discussed as per the House rules. The bill was passed after the voting. Therefore, there is no doubt that the Waqf Bill will fulfil every constitutional validity."
All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has declared the recent Waqf Amendments passed by Parliament as a severe assault on Islamic values, religion and Shariah, religious and cultural freedom, communal harmony and the foundational structure of the Indian Constitution.
AIMPLB stated that the support extended by certain political parties to the BJP's communal agenda has fully exposed their so-called secular facade.
The AIMPLB emphasized that it will lead a nationwide movement against these amendments in coordination with all religious, community-based and social organizations and the campaign will continue until the amendments are fully repealed.
