As the IndiGo mayhem ventures into its third day, propelling the country into a state of chaos and commotion—the passengers are left navigating long lines amid continuous flight delays.

On Friday, India's largest airline cancelled more than 400 flights across the country with Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport issuing a statement that till midnight of December 5, 2025 all IndiGo domestic flights stand cancelled.

Major airports across the country descended into turmoil with suitcases strewn across the floor as weary travelers were compelled to book last-minute flights— some costing as much as Rs 40,000.

Passengers are expressing frustration over airlines' poor communication and abysmal handling of this crisis . Many are stranded at the airport with no place to go.

Videos of travelers confronting IndiGo staff in frustration are circulating online.

A passenger told news agency ANI, "I came here almost on time, and then we have been stranded here for 3-4 hours by IndiGo. Everything was booked for us. We had a travel agency that booked everything for us in Port Blair.

"But now we are stranded here at the airport, and we are still looking for the alternate tickets, and IndiGo is not helping us at all. Our sister is coming from Bangalore, and she's already in Port Blair. Now we cannot even coordinate the whole plan. It's very difficult at this moment."

Another passenger said, "We were not informed that they are cancelling the flight...We have been awake since 5 am, and we have been waiting here for 2 hours. They are saying that they will not even provide the stay. It is a total mess."

A traveller from Goa said, "This has all been caused by IndiGo...We didn't get any cooperation from them. Last night I was at Delhi airport, they would not inform anyone of anything. It is a chaos that they have created."
