Indore chips factory using rotten potatoes demolished

The Indore administration demolished a potato chip factory at Sanwer Road after authorities found the manufacturing unit was using rotten potatoes for making the packaged chips. Chemical powder was being used to wash the chips made from these potatoes The Madhya Pradesh government is running an anti-adulteration drive under the ‘Freedom from Adulteration’ campaign. "Chips were being made from rotten potatoes. Many think packaged food is safe & buy it without knowing it acts as poison after consumption," said Manish Singh, District Collector, Indore.
