CBI on Saturday conducted searches in Delhi and adjoining satellite towns in connection with its probe into irregularities in the evaluation of OMR answer sheets of BSF constable recruitment examination.

The searches, which were conducted in Delhi as well as in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad and Haryana's Gurugram, came following the registration of FIR against Ravi Kumar of Delhi-based CS Datamation Research Services Pvt Ltd.

There were allegations of various irregularities in the examination for recruitment of constables in Border Security Force (BSF) on part of BSF officials as well as by an out-sourced private firm.

"The alleged irregularities led to ineligible candidates being called for medical tests by BSF. It has also been alleged that a private person obtained illegal money from candidate/candidates appearing for written examinations of Constables (Tradesmen), in BSF," the CBI said.
