Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has decided to provide students from Jammu and Kashmir another opportunity to complete their document verification process. KEA executive director H Prasanna said that the decision had been taken in light of the tense situation that continues to prevail in Jammu and Kashmir.

“There is no need to panic,” he assured students from J&K.

Of the 204 students from Jammu and Kashmir who wrote the KCET this year, only 52 have completed the document verification process, stated the release issued by KEA to the press. If the situation remains unaltered over the next 15 to 20 days, KEA will allow the students to complete the document verification through a video conference, the statement added. “Each student will be individually informed,” Prasanna added.
