Sepoy Chaudhry Deepak Gulab of 34 Rashtriya Rifles was on duty at a forward post- at Zamboor-Pattan in Uri last last night when he slipped, they said.
Chaudhry died on the spot. The body will be sent to his native place in Maharashtra for final rites, they added.
