The laboratory report has confirmed that the tiger, which had claimed three lives in the Southern part of Kodagu, is a 10-year-old male tiger.

The tiger had attacked and killed two boys and an elderly woman. The blood samples and the fur collected from the spot were sent to the laboratory for confirmation.

A camera and a cage have been placed in the place where the tiger had attacked people. Visuals of the tiger roaming in the area have been captured on the camera. However, the tiger which was captured in Manchalli near Srimangala, is not the one that had claimed three lives, said DCF Prabhakar.
