A man traps a stray dog in Belur town on Saturday.
Following the recent attack on 24 people by stray dogs in the town, officials of the Town Municipal Council, launched a drive to curb street dog menace on Saturday. On day one, the team assigned to trap strays, caught as many as 100 dogs.
A team from K R Nagara in Mysuru district has been conducting the drive which will continue for a week. Municipality Chief Officer S N Manjunath said that the dogs will be sterilised and let off out of the town.
