The first district Kannada literary fest was organised in Bangarpet in 1970 and presided over by litterateur A Na Kru. “Now, 41 years later, Bangarpet has the privilege of hosting the fest,” Rao said. The process, however, would begin only after May 15, “as the Election Code of Conduct is still on.”
A memoir would be released on the occasion. J G Nagaraj, member of the Sahitya Parishat district working committee, will be the editor of the memoir, he informed.
Members of the district unit A Ashwath Reddy, J G Nagaraj, K R Jayashri, Nagaraj and others were present at the press conference.
