Two men from Bengaluru were killed on the spot and another was seriously injured in a collision between a tipper lorry and a car near Donigal on the national highway on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Rahul Joel (33), a resident of Banaswadi, and Sanjay (27), of Yeshwanthpur.
Anees of Ramamurthynagar has suffered head injuries and has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
According to sources, Rahul Joel, along with his family members, had come to celebrate the New Year and was staying at a homestay in Donigal. He had come to the town to buy milk when the mishap occurred.
The speeding tipper hit the car and dragged it for more than 20 feet. The car has been totally smashed. The town police have registered a case.
