Like in the Central Board of Secondary Education exams, students taking II PU exam too were asked to remove their shoes before entering the exam hall.

The department had earlier stated that the students cannot wear digital watches to exams. But a student complained that she was forced even to remove an analogue watch before entering the hall.

“I have a very basic analogue watch model. I was asked to remove that as well. Even my water bottle was to left outside along with a pencil pouch. I was told that I will have to rely on the wall clocks in the exam hall,” said Rakshitha, one of the students. She added that even pullovers and sweaters were to be left outside the hall.

Invigilators also checked the students’ pockets before the commencement of exams.

“I had worn a pull over to the hall as there was no prior intimation regarding this. I was asked to take it off before the exam commenced,” said Radhika, another student.
