The Bendigeri police on Sunday arrested two youth on charges of raping a minor at an isolated place near Bidnal, in Hubballi.
The suspects Kiran Chandrashekar Gokak (28) and Abhishek Jadav (26) allegedly threatened and abducted a 15-year-old girl, who was sitting with her male friend on a bench on the outskirts of Hubballi on January 9.
Police said that the duo threatened the girl, took her to an isolated place and raped her. They warned the girl against informing anyone of the incident.
On Sunday, the victim approached the Bendigeri police with her parents and lodged a complaint.
Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner M N Nagaraj visited the victim at the police station and said that a case was registered under the POCSO Act. Investigations are on.
