The arrested are Musthafa (38), a lorry driver and a resident of Arapattu; and Chethan (19), the lorry cleaner. Police have seized the lorry which was used for kidnapping two minor girls.
Two seventh standard students of Thithimathi Government Primary School had gone mising on January 9 and their parents had registered a complaint in this regard. However, they were traced on January 11 at Gonikoppa bus stand. On interogation of these students, the incident of rape came to light.
The accused Musthafa was known to the family of one girl. The accused had taken the girls to Margolli in Siddapura and raped them. After the medical report of the two girls, action will be initiated against the accused, said Circle Inspector P V Venkatesh.
